Kia ora, hello!

My name is Claire Henry,

I am a registered social worker in New Zealand with 15+ years of experience working with children, families and communities. My focus has always been on improving the wellbeing of children, families and communities. I am passionate about providing support for families who have children/young people who may be experiencing anxiety and OCD, I believe the SPACE program empowers parents with incredible skills to support their child to live a wonderful life without anxiety or OCD in control.

Ngā mihi,

Claire

The longer I live, the more deeply I learn that love — whether we call it friendship or family or romance — is the work of mirroring and magnifying each other’s light. Gentle work. Steadfast work. Life-saving work in those moments when life and shame and sorrow occlude our own light from our view, but there is still a clear-eyed loving person to beam it back. In our best moments, we are that person for another.

My Approach

I take a relational approach to my work, this means that I love building relationships and taking time to listen and learn before working in partnership with you. I will be open and honest with what I can do to support you and your family, and enjoy bringing some lightness to the work with a good sense of humour.
